Seal of Quality: Edelweiss for Private Accommodations

One to four edelweiss are used to categorize private accommodations.
The edelweiss rating is standardized across Austria and intended to serve as guidelines for guests who are making reservations. Classification is voluntary.

The edelweiss system only rates the accommodation's facilities. Hospitality, warmth and personal supervision are all subjective and therefore hard to rate. But you will see for yourself that Upper Austria's accommodation providers offer it all in abundance!
